Now, if Apple announced that their new hardware made USB interfaces obsolete I'd be forced to move on. Assuming that the new iMacs continue to have USB connectivity, these interfaces should still function. I don't, however, wish to replace the RME box. I'm waiting for the iMac line to be refreshed at which point I plan to purchase one. The solution, if what I'm reading is accurate, needs to come from Apple.Īgain, I would very much like to be told that I'm wrong about this as my 9 year old iMac is, well, 9 years old. The new Macs include USB 2 ports, but they have been rendered problematic for existing interfaces due to the T2 chip. I do watch the RME forum, but there are no solutions to be found there as the issue is not resolvable by interface drivers. there is still the option of getting a pro for a few more hundred but will it make a difference?
Sorry guys these are all basically just numbers to me so i have no idea. but im just saying that the current air may be better than my previous macbook pro. obviously the air wont be better than the current macbook pro. so not sure what the difference between ssd and hdd. it has 128gb ssd which seems lower than my macbook pro. So i see this actually has more ram than the mac i was currently on. Just wondering because at a massively lower price this time i could get an air which is as follows. Will it be the ram and storage thats going to make a difference in my production speeds etc?
